It's one of the most talked about issues that clients have in salon. Good news! There is a way to combat it, but first...
Not all frizz is bad frizz!
Without a little frizz your hair wouldn't have body or volume, we have been brainwashed (mainly by cosmetics companies) into thinking that we must fight the frizz with products descriptions saying 'frizz control', 'frizz rescue' and 'anti-frizz'.
I think I've written the word frizz so much the word has actually started looking frizzy!
I get it though sometimes frizz can look untidy and can behave different to other parts of your head such as the halo. So what things can you be doing to help your frizz and keep it at bay?

Giving your hair what it needs
The best curls by far are the ones that are healthy. Theres plenty of things we should be doing in order to get our hair health to the best it can be with the one at the top of the list for me finding out what your hair needs and using the correct shampoo and conditioner for this! (check out my post 'Protein or Moisture)
Product application
Applying products correctly is key here, you should be applying on soaking wet hair and when i say soaking wet I mean a squish with a towel and then straight to applying.
work the product right from the root to the tips in a downward motion, the hair should feel slimy and like seaweed. This ensures you have the products evenly distributed.

Drying
As you can probably tell from my other posts, I love to dry the hair fully using a diffuser. when you're doing this the hair sets in place quickly, if air drying the hair has time to be effected by clothes environment etc. As a tip I wouldn't move the diffuser around too much, simply hold it in place then move to the next section.
Use the correct products
I always use a strong gel, have I found one on the high street yet?.. unfortunately not!
Your gel should be strong enough to give you a cast but lightweight enough for you to crunch out without feeling weighed down and oily. Why is having a cast so important? because this means you have hold, your curls are fully set in the position you've told them to be, you can refresh your curls day after day and finally because it helps with tangling or matting.
If you're using a cream - throw it out! now this part is really only applicable to those in the UK where creams give absolutely nothing to your routine, I know its quite a strong statement but really the ingredients don't give any hold, they weigh the hair down and block the hair from breathing. Elsewhere in the world creams are formulated differently and actually contain hold plus other beneficial ingredients.
I always opt for Organic Colour Systems Memory Gel because it's bloody perfect IMO! Its £14.50 and depending how much hair you have should last around 4-5 months. You can purchase this from my store below.
Im here to answer any burning questions you may have, but ultimately frizz is not a demon here, we just need to work out how we can manage it!
